I was excited to have two great events during the month of April. On the tails of my solo show at the Trussville Public Library, I scurried about to “take the show on the road”.

I was grateful for the opportunity to exhibit at a special Art Mingle Evening at the Greystone Golf and Country Club. It drummed up lots of interest in my pet portraits from the attendees at this event. A debt of gratitude to Genevieve Gillis and the organizers at Greystone.

 

April wrapped up with my VERY FIRST showing at Art in the Village, an annual art show sponsored by the City of Mountain Brook, Alabama and the Mountain Brook Art Association. MBAA is an organization founded in 1981 to support and promote the two-dimensional art of those artists within the Birmingham metropolitan area within 25 miles of the City of Mountain Brook. I have loved getting involved with this great group of artists! They put on two art shows each year, one in the Spring and one at Christmastime. This was the 41st annual Spring show and it was immense fun and a huge success for the Association. It was a great chance to get my feet wet with showing and selling and I learned a tremendous amount from the experience.
